There is a beautiful freedom that comes when we truly understand that God is our Provider. So often, we live as though everything depends on us. We worry about money, our families, our work, our future, and how every need will be met. We try to figure everything out, make everything happen, and carry burdens that were never meant to rest entirely on our shoulders.
But Scripture reminds us that God knows what we need. Jesus said, “Your heavenly Father knows that you need them all” (Matthew 6:32). He tells us not to live consumed by anxiety about tomorrow, but to seek first the kingdom of God and trust Him with the rest.
God is not merely someone we turn to when our own resources run out. He is the source of everything we have.
Every good gift comes from Him. Our abilities, opportunities, relationships, work, creativity, strength, and even the breath we take are gifts from His hand.
“My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phillippians 4:19)
God gives us this beautiful promise!
That does not mean we never work, plan, save, or take responsibility. It means we do those things without believing that everything depends on us.
There is a difference between being responsible and being burdened.
We can faithfully do what God places before us while leaving the ultimate outcome in His hands.

Sometimes God provides through a job. Sometimes through another person. Sometimes through an unexpected opportunity. Sometimes through something as simple as the strength to make it through another day. His provision does not always look the way we expect, but He is faithful.
When we remember that God is our Provider, we can loosen our grip.
We can stop striving to control everything.
We can stop believing that we have to rescue every situation.
We can breathe.
And we can pray:
“Father, You know what I need. You know what my family needs. You know what tomorrow holds. I trust You to provide. Show me what You want me to do today, and help me leave the rest in Your hands.”
God is not asking us to be our own provider.
He is asking us to trust the One who is.
Keep the Faith,
Brigid
